Independent review team invites views from stakeholders
The Auditor General for Wales, Jeremy Colman, has commissioned an independent, international Peer Review of the Wales Audit Office. Further information can be found here.

The Peer Review team has met twice and the majority of its members will be attending the Wales Audit Office Stakeholder Conference on 20 May. Caroline Gardner, Deputy Auditor General for Scotland, and a speaker at the Stakeholder Conference, is the Chair of the Peer Review.

The Peer Review team has invited a range of stakeholders to contribute to the Review by meeting them to discuss the current and future work and impact of the Wales Audit Office.

The Peer Reviewers have also set up an e-mail address (peerreview@wao.gov.uk) so that stakeholders can provide  written views. They are particularly interested to hear what people think about the efficiency and effectiveness of the Wales Audit Office, in particular:

  • the quality, effectiveness and impact of the services provided by the Wales Audit Office;
  • how well the Wales Audit Office is achieving the outcomes it seeks for its stakeholders;
  • the effectiveness of external relationships, communication, stakeholder relationships and the co-ordination of and collaboration in undertaking external review activity; and
  • views on any practical steps with which the Wales Audit Office can continue the development of its services, organisation and people.

The Peer Review Team would welcome any views or submissions no later than 5pm on Wednesday 10 June.
