The Auditor General for Wales has today published a new report on Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority looking at how well the Authority is improving its services.
The Annual Improvement Report has been prepared by the Wales Audit Office (WAO) on behalf of the Auditor General for Wales. It asks if the Authority:
• is well managed
• is helping to reduce the likelihood and impact of fires and road traffic collisions is responding well to fires and other threats to safety; and
• knows what it needs to do to improve
The report focuses on the Authority's own priorities for improvement, setting out what the Authority needs to do to improve its services. Each year the WAO is set to produce a report looking into what progress the Authority has made.
The WAO wants to find out what you think of the services the Authority is providing in your area and will be giving you an opportunity to comment in the future.

• The report has been prepared by the Wales Audit Office on behalf of the Auditor General for Wales as required by the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2009. The Auditor General for Wales assesses the compliance of Welsh improvement authorities (county councils, county borough councils, national park authorities and fire and rescue authorities) with the improvement requirements of Part 1 of the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2009.
