- The Builth Wells Showground seminar at was the second of the six held across Wales and involved 11 leaders from Welsh Public Services. Details can be accessed here.
- A summary of the Wales Audit Office key findings presented by Chief Operating Officer Anthony Snow can be accessed here.
- Mark Kerr, Chief Executive of Powys County Council shared the experiences of developing a partnership working with other bodies in Powys, through their involvement in the Council’s senior management team meetings. The impact of the approach was significant in terms of developing positive relationships with the Council. A summary of the approach has been developed as a case study and is available via the shared learning forum.

Key messages from the Builth Wells delegates:
- Delegates felt that regulators needed to recognise that not every initiative worked well first time, and that it is important to learn from the experience. Care needs to be taken when reporting less successful initiatives to avoid slowing down progress and momentum.
- Effective communication is essential to success in all of the MTC themes.
- Delegates felt that having clear messages from the Welsh Assembly Government is important. The Assembly needs to ensure there is no conflict in messages from different departments.
- Delegates felt it was not always clear that the Assembly recognised the pressures upon local service delivery organisations. The Assembly needed to support existing arrangements and avoid adding more things to do without considering capacity.
