Pembrokeshire County Council, has formed a successful energy purchasing consortium with Carmarthenshire County Council, Ceredigion County Council, Ceredigion County Council, West Wales Fire Brigade and Dyfed Powys Police.
Pembrokeshire County Council was the first in Wales to operate an e-auction for the purchase of electricity. The auction was supported by Value Wales and secured prices some 20 per cent below prevailing market prices.
