Improving Attendance in the Public Sector Seminar

A shared learning seminar on Promoting Attendance was held on Thursday 9th June 2011. In particular how absence data could be more effectively and consistently presented across the public sector in Wales. This will enable public sector organisations to compare like for like data and to share the learning where organisations are performing well.

The seminar has provided a basis for building a strong network of practitioners across the Welsh Public Sector.

Delegates attended from Local Government, Police Authorities, Fire and Rescue Services, Health Boards, Welsh Government and Wales Audit Office.

The Chief Constable of Gwent, Mrs Carmel Napier gave the keynote speech, with presentations from Further Education, Local Government, Police, Fire and Rescue and Local Health Board.
