The second shared learning seminar on Promoting Attendance was held on Thursday 6th March 2012. Through the benefits of video link the seminar was delivered simultaneously at Fire and Rescue Service HQ, Llantrisant and Welsh Government Offices, Landudno Junction.
This was the second seminar from the Attendance Management Steering Group on how sickness practitioners across the public sector can engage their line managers to provide better management and support.
Various organisations associated with the theme of the seminar, including Hafal, Mind Cymru and NHS Direct arranged exhibition stands to provide information and share good practice.
Delegates attended from Local Government, Police Authorities, Fire and Rescue Services, Health Boards, and Welsh Government.
The Deputy Director, PPCS from Welsh Government, Alistair Davey, gave the keynote speech, with presentations from practitioners in Occupational Health, Legal, Human Resources, and Healthcare.
