Education of looked after children
Every year the Auditor General undertakes a number of special reviews to promote improvement. One of these reviews is about the education of looked after children. We are investigating whether support for looked after children to improve their education is improving and we will publish a report that will be considered by the National Assembly and local councils.

For this review we are inviting foster carers and looked after children to give us their views in two surveys. These will inform our report and may be included in it. The foster carer survey is being organised with the support of the Fostering Network.

We would also like to hear the views of looked after children and young people aged 10-18 years. They can give their views on a special website at www.schoolworkingforyou.info. They will not be asked to provide their name or any identifying information about themselves, their carers, or their school.
