The specification lists all the fields the NFI requires for data matching.

Before extracting the data you should refer to the data formats and data download instructions (link to Audit Commission's website).

The data for the 2006/07 exercise should be extracted on 6th October 2006 (or as near possible to this date) for submission by, no later than, 13 th October 2006.

Mandatory data types

• Creditors ¹
• Payroll and pensions
• Pensions - applicable to private sector and non audited bodies
• Housing rents
• Housing benefits - provided by Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
• Students eligible for a loan - provided by Student Loan Company ( SLC)

Risk based data types ²

• Insurance claimants
• Private care home residents and NHS continuing care payment
• Blue badge parking permits, residents parking permits and concessionary travel passes
• Market traders and taxi driver licences
• Creditors - where this is not a mandatory requirement

¹ - Creditors is mandatory for local authorities and NHS acute and mental health trusts. However, creditors data can be submitted by other audited bodies under our risk based data matching category.
² - Participation will be based on your risk assessment of these areas. Your external auditor will be able to help you assess this risk.
