We audit devolved public services in Wales, monitoring the annual spending of some £20 billion of taxpayers’ money.

We are independent of government and audit the Assembly Government’s accounts, as part of our national value for money work, and also look at how it is performing.
We publish our findings in independent reports, presenting some of them to the National Assembly for Wales’ Public Accounts Committee which can go on to make specific inquiries into issues of interest or concern arising from our reports.

We can also undertake work or provide advice on behalf of other National Assembly scrutiny committees.
