Each year the 22 councils in Wales collect and publish details of how they have performed against a series of performance indicators (PIs) set by the Welsh Assembly Government and supplemented by local indicators. Our auditors check the information before it is published and report on its accuracy and the systems used to produce it.

Once each council has published its own performance data, the data for all 22 authorities is consolidated by the Welsh Local Government Data Unit and published on its website.
