The Wales Audit Office played host today to senior leaders and practitioners in the first of a series of shared learning seminars looking at the Future Generations Bill.

The event provided delegates with a chance to find out more about the Bill and develop their own practice.

Mike Palmer, Sustainable Development Manager for the Wales Audit Office said: " We heard today about a number of recent developments in reporting organisational performance, from within and beyond Wales. It is invaluable to have the opportunity to discuss how we could make use these developments"

Today’s seminar featured sessions from Crown Estates and Swansea Council on integrated reporting and also a plenary session from Peter Davies, Wales' Commissioner for Sustainable Futures which looked at putting integrated reporting into practice.

Peter Davies added: “The Future Generations Bill will introduce mechanisms to improve our governance and decision making for the long term. It will provide a common framework for the public sector with a clear focus on achieving better outcomes for today and future generations. Events such as this will prove vital as public services prepare to report on sustainable development, I would urge those who couldn’t attend this time around to sign up for future seminars”

Outputs and videos from the event will be made available shortly after the seminar runs again in Llanrwst, north Wales on the 13^th February. There are some spaces remaining for this seminar and it is free to attend.
